The Kent Panthers are sharing breakout news of the launch of their Basketball Academy Sixth Form for students aged 16-18. This initiative will combine elite basketball training with academic studies. Young athletes will get the opportunity to hone their skills while pursuing their education.

Panthers partnered with Wye School in Ashford, the East Kent hub, and Cornwallis School in Maidstone for the Mid Kent hub for this groundbreaking program. Players will be offered daily basketball practice, five days a week, as well as strength and conditioning (S&C) sessions. This will be fully incorporated into the athlete’s basketball training and academic schedule to ensure a balanced approach to sports and education.

A spokesperson for Kent Panthers, Holly Burns, shared enthusiastically, “This is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes in Kent. The academy is designed to help students reach their full potential both on the court and in the classroom, and we’re proud to partner with two outstanding schools to make this happen.”

The Panthers will share updates on upcoming open evenings of the Sixth Form Basketball Academy soon for students and parents.
