Welcome to the Kent Panthers Sixth Form Basketball Academy
The Kent Panthers Sixth Form Basketball Academy is a dedicated premier program for teenagers aged 16-18. This is a perfect step up for anyone who aspires to excel in both basketball and academics and can join this program. Our academy focuses on comprehensive player development combining both academics, A-Levels and BTEC’s with a comprehensive basketball programme.
Our program challenges and develops athletes at every level. This program covers all aspects of basketball from advanced skill training to strategic gameplay. Our structured activities focus on enhancing core basketball skills, including shooting, ball handling, passing, and defensive techniques, as well as team development and tactical analysis. Each session focuses on improving precision, consistency, and overall game IQ.
Players play competitive games and tournaments regularly against top-level teams including the option to participate in the European Youth Basketball League (EYBL) and National Basketball League (NBL) competitions. These opportunities improve skills by gaining experience, improving under competitive conditions, and getting exposure to professional teams and colleges. Athletes learn to build resilience, teamwork, and the importance of maintaining composure under pressure.
The Academy arranges the participation of players in school open days and showcases. They can garner ambitious admissions through demonstration of their skills in front of the Kent Panthers coaches and academy staff. Athletes will have the opportunity to secure scholarships and continue their basketball careers at the collegiate and professional levels.
