The University of Kent Basketball scholarship programme was established in 2022 initially with the Kent Tigers and transferred to the Kent Panthers in 2023. This is an exciting partnership between the Kent Sport, University of Kent and Kent Panthers that aims to increase the level of basketball in the South East of England.

The partnership aim to grow the BUCS team for both Men and Women while providing elite talent the opportunity to continue their development and compete with the Kent Panthers in the National League. The programme combines playing at a high level and an amazing educational experience from a European University.

The University boasts a professional playing surface that is one of its kind outside the USA!

University of Kent and the Medway campus has tremendous facilities, with players gaining access to elite basketball courts, shuttle service between two campuses alongside a fantastic weight room and high performance athletics centre. Scholars work with a comprehensive team of national level coaches, sports therapists, nutritions, strength and conditioning coach and other supportive services to provide a holistic development on and off the court.
